This Weekend’s Bowl Food Party

The Wild Kitchens lunch and dinner bowl food function went really well this weekend with delicious, small bowl dishes. The menu was as follows:

  • Wild mushroom risotto with sautéed chanterelles and hedgehog mushrooms, watercress and a truffle foam.
  • Asian duck with egg noodles, stir fried asian greens and duck broth
  • 12hr slow cooked lamb in rosemary garlic and lemon, with sautéed potatoes and lemon gremolata
  • Soft parmesan polenta with red pepper and aubergine ragout, and grilled goats cheese
  • Goan prawn and crab curry
  • Seared Venison fillet, with orange, butternut and nutmeg puree, sautéed cavelo nero, and a junipers red wine jus
  • Pear frangipane with a custard and mascarpone cream
  • Pistachio brownie with Caramel cream

We used Tivoli Wines for all the wine this weekend. they source great quality wines from small growers as well as the well known names. Take a look at their website…..
